Keeping corrected paint looking corrected

A careful hand wash by David Morse, topped with a ceramic sealant, for paint that has been polished or coated and needs to stay that way.

A hand wash that does not re-mar the paint

Most swirls are put there by washing. A drive-through brush, a dry towel, or a dirty mitt drags grit across the clear coat, and the marks show up as a haze in direct sun. A maintenance detail is built around not doing that. David Morse washes by hand, rinses the car before anything touches the paint, and lifts dirt off rather than pushing it around.

That matters most on paint that has already been corrected. Polishing took the old marring out, and a careless wash puts new marks right back. At Reflect, solo owned and operated since 2019, one person does the wash from the first rinse to the last towel, so the same careful method goes over every panel, wheel and door jamb.

The ceramic sealant on top

What separates a maintenance detail from a plain wash is the last step. After the car is washed and dried, a ceramic sealant goes over the paint. It adds slickness and water beading, and it refreshes the protection that sun and salt air wear down between visits. At Reflect the service is exactly that, a maintenance wash topped with a ceramic sealant.

It works on cars with a full ceramic coating and on cars without one. On a coated car, the sealant keeps the surface slick and sheds water so dirt rinses off easier. On an uncoated car, it gives paint a protective layer it would not have otherwise. Either way the work is done by David Morse himself, with no crew sent in his place.

How often should a Florida car come back?

There is no single schedule that fits every car, and Reflect does not pretend there is. A garaged weekend car that sees little sun and few miles can go longer between visits. A daily driver parked outside in Boynton Beach or Boca Raton collects sun, salt air, pollen and road film much faster.

Near the coast, salt air settles on paint and glass even when the car never leaves the driveway, and Florida sun bakes it on. That is the case for coming back more often, not less. The simplest way to decide is to describe how the car lives, where it is parked and how it is driven, and let David recommend a rhythm. Call or text (561) 827-8663.
